Chelsea attacker João Félix could be given an escape route from the Stamford Bridge club after it was made clear that loanee side AC Milan are not keen on making his temporary stay a permanent one.

Galatasaray are being informed about the situation of the player, according to the Turkish publication Sabah.

Felix moved to Chelsea from Atlético Madrid for €52 million but things did not work out under Enzo Maresca during his second stint in west London. He consequently made the loan move to Milan during the last January transfer window.

For the Rossoneri, Felix has netted a single goal and provided one assist in nine appearances – a return deemed not good enough by the club’s hierarchy, who will likely send him back to his parent club at the end of the season.

As for Galatasaray, veteran Dries Mertens is expected to retire at the end of the campaign and the club has ambitions to replace him in the No.10 position.

The publication claims that the Istanbul side are also keeping an eye on İlkay Gündoğan, whose contract with Manchester City will expire in June.

But it’s also believed that agents – in Felix’s case, Gestifute- have offered Félix to the club, in a deal that the 25-year-old is open to.
