Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech ‘offers himself’ to Barcelona, according to a ‘confidencial’ report from today’s Sport.
The La Liga side are in the market looking for a new attacker after allowing Memphis Depay to complete a move to Atlético Madrid.
This has seen the Chelsea player being offered to Xavi Hernández at the Camp Nou. It’s further claimed the winger ‘wants to join’ the Catalan club in the winter market.
The Morocco international has seen his game time restricted at the west London club this season and has made only five starts in all competitions.
He wants to have more prominence, especially after impressing at the World Cup. In this sense, the 29-year-old likes the possibility of joining Barca ‘very much’.
Graham Potter’s side have already signed four attackers, David Datro Fofana, João Félix [on loan from Atlético Madrid], Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke, in January.
It may also force the Blues to get rid of some of their attackers this month and the report states this is precisely where the ex-Ajax man’s name could appear.
Although the Chelsea player has a desire to join Barca in January, Sport don’t mention whether they are willing to sign Ziyech, after he offered himself to the Spanish giants.
