Last week, we covered claims from the Italian press which said Emerson Palmieri would be offered to AC Milan.

CalcioMercato.com said the Blues would accept to sell the player for an amount of €25m, and his entourage would meet the Rossoneri to talk about a deal.

Now it turns out that CalcioMercato.it, which is a different website, confirms that the meeting happened, and claims that Milan are not taking the chance to sign the Brazilian.

The Italian side are said to be uninterested in signing Palmieri, especially because of his wages, which are around €3.5m net per season.

Signed on a €20m deal from Roma in January 2018, Emerson Palmieri could never be convincing enough to hold a starting position at Chelsea.

The player has 24 appearances for the Blues this season, and by being offered around by his entourage like this, it seems he won’t fulfil his contract which runs until 2022.
