Brought in on loan in January to help Maurizio Sarri in his efforts to get Chelsea firing back up the table, Gonzalo Higuain somewhat failed in his endeavour.

Scoring five goals in 14 Premier League appearances, the Argentine never recaptured the Napoli form that caught Juventus’ attention three years ago.

With just one game to go in the 2018-19 campaign for the Blues (a Europa League final against Arsenal), Higuain’s future will be talked about over the summer, and TuttoMercatoWeb believe it will be far from Stamford Bridge.

The Italian newspaper report Chelsea will not be purchasing the Argentina international in the coming month, and a destination out east could be best suited for the striker.

TuttoMercatoWeb claim Hebei Fortune in China have made an offer for the player, offering him a base wage of €13m/year, which equates to around £220k/week.

There is no indication as to whether Higuain would be interested in such an offer, but considering he’s 31 and might not find a suitor in Europe willing to pay him similar wages, it might be something to keep on the table.
