It’s been circling for the past couple of weeks, and it refuses to go away: Chelsea’s N’Golo Kanté continues to be a target for Inter and Antonio Conte.

The French midfielder is seen as the ideal piece to help the Italian topple Juventus from their mighty Serie A pedestal, and that’s where the club are focusing their attention for the time being.

They, of course, know it won’t be easy to get him, meaning they are also looking at a couple of other Premier League midfielders, such as Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombélé, but Kanté remains top of their list.

So much so, in fact, that he’s labeled as their ‘dream’, as Conte knows him well from their time together at Chelsea, allowing him to add aggression and dynamism to his midfield in one expensive swoop.

But, as hinted at above, doing so would come at a price, and Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday claim it would cost them ‘at least €60m’, and that’s even when taking into account the physical problems the France international has gone through during the 2019-20 campaign.

It’s certainly a hefty fee, but it’s one few would disagree with, such is Kanté’s ability to transform a team when playing at his full potential.

Just ask Leicester City.
