As widely reported by all members of the European press, Chelsea are currently in talks with Milan over the potential loan of Fikayo Tomori.
Hardly used by Frank Lampard this season, the centre-back is looking for more game time elsewhere, which the Serie A side are ready to give him.
Talks have been ongoing for quite some time, and it appears we’re getting closer than ever to an agreement being reached.
Gazzetta dello Sport explain talks ‘continue’ between Milan and Chelsea for Tomori, with a ‘minimal distance’ between them, agreeing on a six month loan worth €1m.
It’s what happens next that presents problem, with the Blues wanting €30m, while Milan want to only €20m to make the deal permanent.
Tomori is reportedly ‘impatient’ to get on a flight and head to Milan, having already agreed terms with Paolo Maldini and Federico Massara.
There’s belief he could make the trip today, although ‘it isn’t to be excluded it slips into tomorrow’, but the aim would be for him to meet up with his new teammates ‘this week’.
Over at Corriere dello Sport, they hope ‘it could be closed today’, while Corriere della Sera explain the player ‘will arrive tomorrow’.
Basically, we’re in the endgame now.
