Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri was linked with a return to Serie A in January, but no deal took shape.
The former AS Roma man is on Juventus’ radar for next season, if reports coming out of Italy are to be believed.
According to Calciomercato.it, Juventus chief Fabio Paratici has identified the importance of strengthening the left-back position in order to provide competition to Alex Sandro.
The Old Lady were close to signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa in the winter market and as part of the deal, they were willing to allow Mattia De Sciglio to move in the opposite direction.
However, the swap deal never materialised and Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has identified the Brazil-born Italy international as a priority target for next season.
Emerson’s contract with Frank Lampard’s side runs down in 2022 and the Italian website has slapped a valuation of €25m for the Chelsea defender.
