Chelsea loanee Renato Veiga has been an important player for Juventus in the second half of this season. The Portuguese has started and impressed in each of the last nine Serie A games, earning the trust of manager Igor Tudor.
There’s been claims Juventus are already speaking to Chelsea about the extension of the defender’s loan deal and more has emerged about his future in Turin.
Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo reports the player is interested in the idea of staying at Juventus. The possibility of that happening is remote because Chelsea want a fee of €50m to let him depart permanently.
Even if Veiga is hoping for a ‘positive turning point’ to arrive during talks and negotiations, his exit from Juventus is the most likely scenario for the summer unless something dramatic happens.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is a big fan of the 21-year-old, even if it is clear that places in defence are limited.
In the meantime, Juve are exploring alternative options to Veiga and are preparing themselves for his departure
