Chelsea winger Willian Borges is returning to London today, according to reports from Brazil.
ESPN Brasil correspondent João Castello Branco claims that the player has had a delay to renew his passport in his home country, and now that everything is sorted he’s heading back to the club.
Willian’s absence from Chelsea’s training has made it to the news this Tuesday morning, as he caught everyone by surprise by not showing up at Cobham.
The event has obviously then been related to the transfer rumours which have been surrounding the player for the past few months, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United all said to be interested.
But regarding these transfer rumours, Castelo Branco claims that everything is ‘right’ between Willian and Chelsea, as there is even the possibility he can sign a new contract with the Blues.
It’s said that the London side are not keen on selling the 29-year-old, having already rejected offers from Catalan giants Barcelona.
This weekend, Willian spoke to the Brazilian media about his future, and made it clear that he’s happy at Chelsea and happy in London.
