Chelsea winger Nathan seems really keen on staying in Portugal.

After spending a season on loan at Belenenses, the player wants to continue playing in the country at least for one more year, according to claims today.

Newspaper O Jogo reports that the 22-year-old has already told Chelsea about his wish, and is currently waiting for the Blues’ response.

After spending his vacations in Brazil, the player has returned to Lisbon instead of going to London. He’ll be waiting in Portugal until he gets a message from Chelsea telling him what to do.

Last month, when speaking to the Brazilian press, Nathan confirmed his wish to stay in Portugal for one more year, even though the final decision would belong to Chelsea.

Signed by the Blues from Brazilian side Atlético-PR in 2015, Nathan has previously been loaned to Vitesse and Amiens, and has played for Belenenses since January 2018. The striker’s contract with the Stamford Bridge side expires in 2020.
