Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ‘definitely interested’ in a move to AC Milan this summer and has already given his ‘yes’ to the potential move.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say there is a deal there to be done for the player if he leaves Stamford Bridge as expected at the end of the season.
The newspaper explains that Milan have a lot of work to do in the summer window, with a need to refresh the squad and replace those who are potentially leaving.
They are particularly looking for a ‘new Kessie’ after he left for Barcelona last year and they have identified Loftus-Cheek as that player.
They’ve been made aware that the liking is a ‘mutual’ one, with Loftus-Cheek ‘definitely interested’ in the move if it is offered to him.
There have now been multiple phone calls about the transfer and it is now a matter of working a deal that suits all parties.
At this moment in time Chelsea are asking for €25m, a figure Milan have no desire to pay, instead believing that they can bring it down via negotiations with the Blues.
They certainly have a longstanding relationship with their Premier League counterparts after multiple deals between the two down the years and will seemingly try to take advantage of that to get Loftus-Cheek.
He’s interested in the move either way, meaning that’s one major hurdle which has already been overcome if the transfer is to happen.
