AC Milan and Chelsea have found a deal for the transfer of Fikayo Tomori, according to reports from the Italian media on Tuesday evening.
Website Calcio Mercato claims that the talks have ‘reached the finish line’, as the player is expected in the ‘next few hours’ by the Serie A giants, to have his medical and sign a contract.
It’s reported that Tomori is moving to Milan on a ‘onerous’ loan, and the deal will give the Italian club the option to buy him for a fee of between €27m and €30m.
They recall that Milan had already tried to sign Tomori during the talks for Tiemoué Bakayoko in the past, and despite a little delay, they ended up getting both players.
Tomori is a product of Chelsea’s academy, and despite having a couple of loans, he’s been in the squad since the summer of 2019.
However, he was only used by Frank Lampard four times this season, and leaves the Blues with just 27 appearances for the club.
