As Chelsea and Vasco da Gama still work to make Andrey Santos’ loan move official, the player has already arrived at his new club.
As reported by O Globo, the midfielder visited the Cruzmaltino’s training centre on Monday and made some ‘physical evaluations’ ahead of the move.
The report says Andrey Santos even made a ‘light training’ session as he waits for his loan from Chelsea to be made official.
According to O Globo, the details being sorted are actually between the player and Vasco. The main of them is the debt the club have with him because they haven’t paid his percentage of the move to the Blues in January.
Those issues are expected to be settled very soon. Vasco players are having a day off on Tuesday, and the club want Andrey to be training with the squad on Wednesday.
The Cruzmaltino are hopeful the Chelsea loanee can be available for the Rio de Janeiro derby against Flamengo on Sunday, and for that to happen, O Globo says he must be signed and registered before Wednesday.
Andrey is being loaned until the end of June, with the Blues hopeful he’ll soon have a work permit to play for the club.
