If Bayern Munich really want Thomas Tuchel then they can’t wait around forever, report SportBild. In a feature looking at who the German club will be appointing in the summer, it’s explained Tuchel won’t wait around forever.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager was widely expected to take over at Bayern when Carlo Ancelotti left the club, and there were even reports of Tuchel travelling for talks via private jet.
SportBild say ‘It’s clear: Tuchel will not wait forever for Bayern. Chelsea are also interested in his commitment if champion-manager Antonio Conte cannot get the team back on track.’
Chelsea are currently 3rd, two points and a game in hand ahead of Tottenham in 5th, Conte hasn’t really gone that far off track.
Sure, there’s likely to be truth in some Chelsea players not being keen on Conte’s training demands, but then it probably says more about them if they’re willing to rock the boat over a little more sweat exertion.
Given Tuchel fell out with a raft of people at Dortmund, Chelsea taking the manager on could certainly provide some entertainment, although any players feeling they’re not mollycoddled enough now would likely still have issues.
