It seems not only national team players are having Covid-19 worries during the international break.
There’s now some concern in Italy as Chelsea loanee Tiemoué Bakayoko has fever and is currently isolated at his home.
As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder’s current loan club Napoli are trying to exclude the possibility of Covid-19, since all other players were tested negative on Monday morning.
However, someone showing symptoms will obviously not be hanging around during the pandemic, so he’s currently spending some time alone until a new test comes through.
Bakayoko is hoping to recover and be ready for Napoli’s Serie A clash against AC Milan on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, manager Gennaro Gattuso already has Diego Demme as an option to replace the Frenchman if necessary.
The Chelsea loanee has six appearances for Napoli this season, starting in all league games so far. He’s having a spell at the club until next summer, and as there’s no buying option, the clubs would have to negotiate a permanent move.
