Milan’s wish to sign Tiemoué Bakayoko from Chelsea on a permanent deal in the summer continues to be a regular subject in the Italian press.

The Rossoneri are pretty impressed with the player’s development this season, as he’s now reached an important status in the team. Tuttosrport’s headline today says the player is ‘conquering everyone’.

It’s well known that Bakayoko is loaned to the Serie A side until the end of the season with a release clause around €38m, but despite the great potential he’s shown, Milan want to pay as little as possible.

That’s why they need to wait for Chelsea’s stance on the matter, since the negotiations will depend on the Blues’ good will.

What Milan have on their side is Bakayoko’s wish to stay at the club. He’s willing to accept a pay cut if joining the Rossoneri permanently, and would be ‘unhappy’ to return to the Blues.

It’s said the Italian side hope they can pay only €30m with a few more bonuses for Bakayoko, but that will be up to Chelsea. If the Blues decide it’s €38m or nothing, there’s not much Milan can do.
