Juventus may have just signed Arthur from Barcelona, but he’s not the only midfield star they’re expecting to secure this summer.
The rumours linking the Old Lady to Chelsea’s Jorginho have been going on for a while now, and website Calcio Mercato brings the latest updates today.
Their report says the 28-year-old is on top of Maurizio Sarri’s wish list, and since he’s become a rotation player under Frank Lampard, a move starts looking more possible.
It’s said the contacts between Juventus and his entourage have never stopped, and now, Chelsea have finally opened talks for the move.
A problem for Juventus is that Chelsea don’t want to negotiate. The Blues are not willing to let him go on a swap or on a loan with an obligatory buying clause, and the Old Lady must pay the price demanded by the Stamford Bridge side, which is €35-40m.
Fortunately for Juve, they’d have no trouble finding a deal with Jorginho, who would accept a four-year contract, making €4m per season.
