Unable to sign anyone in the summer, Chelsea have had to rely on youth under Frank Lampard, which has worked out just fine so far.
Results have gone their way more often than not, and players like Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have excelled under the former midfielder’s tutelage.
However, there comes a point where more players could be needed to bolster certain areas, and that’s why scouts are sent around the globe to find the right personnel.
One of these, according to Mercato365 in France, is expected to attend Dijon’s game against Paris Saint-Germain on Friday evening.
Who they might be after isn’t said, but while other clubs present like Nottingham Forest, Norwich and Sheffield United can only really focus on the home team, Chelsea can also keep an eye on Thomas Tuchel’s men.
After all, they have the money to sign a Paris Saint-Germain player if they want (within reason), and it could be they have someone in mind.
Other than that, Dijon will likely field some interesting young talent in Bryan Soumaré and Mounir Chouiar, and we all know Chelsea like to sign a good French talent from time to time.
