Marca stated on Wednesday that Real Madrid ‘liked’ Reece James and is ‘being watched’ by the Spanish club.
They claimed that, as things stand, with a price tag of €70m, any idea of a move was ‘dead’, but with a need for Chelsea to potential ‘balance the budget’, they could be forced to part ways with one of their stars.
Well, if his performance on Wednesday night was anything to go by, it’s clear they won’t have been impressed, although that might just be a blip on his record.
He had ‘a lot of work’ to do against Vinicius Jr., and was left embarrassed by the Brazilian on one occasion, with Marca giving him a ‘one star’ rating after the game.
