With a contract at Chelsea expiring in the summer, N’Golo Kanté will need to make a decision about his future ahead of January.
Unable to take part in the World Cup with France due to injury, the midfielder now has a lot of time to reflect and choose on whether he wants to remain in England or head abroad.
There are a number of teams in the Premier League star in their squad going forward, but there are also some in other leagues who wouldn’t mind signing the Chelsea man.
Among those, as per La Repubblica, relayed by Calciomercato.it, are Juventus and Inter, and it’s pointed out Kanté is ‘thinking of a new experience’, suggesting a move abroad.
While he could sign on a free next summer, the midfielder could also be purchased at a reduced fee in January.
This is what both Serie A side ‘have thought about’, taking into account the fact his ‘relationship with Potter has not yet started’.
That being said, Chelsea ‘have no intention of making discounts’, and even with just six months left on his contract, the Blues are said to be ‘asking for £18m’, which is around €20.5m.
Whether that fee also applies for Premier League sides, however, remains to be seen.
