Following a January attempt, Chelsea should soon have a new chance to sign Valencia youngster Yunus Musah, according to claims from Spain.
Cope feature a story highlighting that the midfielder has just won the Concacaf Nations League, and could now leave the La Liga side in a big deal.
Reports from the English media had already claimed that Chelsea tried to sign the player in the middle of the season, and Cope now back that up.
It’s said the Blues made a €35m offer for Musah on the last day of the winter window. Valencia, who were fighting against relegation, chose to turn that down.
The Mestalla club managed to keep themselves in the first division, and as they’re now in need of cash, the midfielder is said to be ‘on the exit ramp’.
It isn’t said how much Valencia would demand for his sale. He’s protected by a €100m release clause, and valued by Transfermarkt at €10m.
Chelsea should be aware of the English competition for the signing, since the likes of Crystal Palace, Leicester City and West Ham United have been said to be interested as well.
