We’re in that period of the year when rumours for the summer are dragged to try and build rumours for the winter.
Chelsea and Kalidou Koulibaly is a rumour that won’t be forgotten. It’s Calcio Mercato.it who are reporting it this time, taking a very strange claim to base their entire story on.
They say Koulibaly’s agent Bruno Satin was present at the Stamford Bridge this week, as he attended to the Wyscout Forum.
Many club officials and agents were there, as they would be. But Calciomercato naturally move on to inferring it’s all interlinked with Chelsea’s interest in the player.
According to them, the Blues bid €58m during the transfer window, but Koulibaly ended up staying at Napoli and made peace with the club.
The website doesn’t mention any connection between the agent’s presence at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea’s desire to have the player. They just throw the information there, to suggest to the reader it’s significant.
Regardless, the agent isn’t the issue for Chelsea here. It’s always Napoli that were the problem, with Koulibaly’s camp being keen on a move.
Next rumour, please.
