Turkish side Galatasaray have turned their attention to Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko as they look to add a midfielder to their squad this summer.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say Milan are not interested in signing the Frenchman on a permanent basis.
The website explains that the Rossonei have a €17m buying obligation included in Bakayoko’s loan deal from Chelsea, if he makes at least 15 appearances for the club this season.
However, the Italian side do not want to pay that as the midfielder is not in Stefano Pioli’s plans and they would prefer to see him go elsewhere.
Fortunately for them, Bakayoko is ‘attracting a lot of interest and calls’ and among them is Galatasaray, who want to secure an ‘important midfield deal’ this summer.
They’re in a hurry to secure a signing and have already made contact with Bakayoko about a possible switch to Turkey. There is no mention of whether they have contacted Chelsea as yet.
It is explicitly stated, though, that they want to get the potential deal done as soon as possible.
There is unlikely to be resistance from AC Milan as they don’t want the player on a permanent basis, so a move to Galatasaray would suit them perfectly.
