The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has insisted there has been no contact with Juventus over a move this summer.
The idea of the Italian midfielder linking up with Maurizio Sarri at Juve has been heavily mooted for several months, with the Italian champions overhauling their midfield this summer.
Jorginho would fit perfectly into the plans, with claims that the club are looking for a more ‘Sarri-like’ midfielder to compliment what they already have.
The Chelsea man would be the obvious choice given he was the focal point under Sarri at Napoli and for Chelsea during his year in charge there.
However, the same reports stated that Juventus were waiting to make their move as they believed they could get themselves a better deal down the line.
The player’s agent has now poured more cold water on any rumours, insisting there has not been any talks with him as of yet.
“We talk about it in the newspapers, I know, but we have not had any direct contact with Sarri or even with the director Paratici. Sarri did not call him,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, relayed by Calciomercato.
“When the director Paratici and Marina Granovskaia find an agreement, if they do, only then can I obviously speak about the evaluations of the case.
“On Sarri, it is obvious that there is a very good relationship with Jorginho after sharing five years together, and I cannot be hypocritical to deny it.
“Jorginho has a three-year contract with Chelsea; I want to remember that.”
