Chelsea and Manchester City are both said to be keeping an eye on the Sassuolo midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Pellegrini joined Sassuolo from Roma last year for only €1.25m. The newspaper claims that the clubs have a verbal agreement which means the player could be bought back for €10m.
However, the English attention is something that could significantly raise these figures, and that’s why Roma are keeping in touch to know if the gentleman’s agreement is still on.
The 20-year-old has six appearances for Sassuolo this season. Although Transfermarkt value him at €2.5m, the talk in Italy is that he’s going nowhere for a price like that.
Tuttosport says Pellegrini likes the idea of moving to the Premier League, which should only make Roma more concerned about the situation.
