Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech will want ‘another look’ at a move to Serie A before considering a return to Ajax next months.

That’s according to Nordin Amrabat, who believes the Moroccan may be hesitant to go back to his former club if the prospect of a move elsewhere is on the table.

Ziyech has struggled at Chelsea since his arrival in a €40m deal from Ajax in July 2020, struggling to establish himself under Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel or Graham Potter.

He has been heavily linked with a departure for the best part of a year, with AC Milan suitors in the summer but unable to get a deal over the line.

They have been linked with a move again next month, with Ziyech again looking to move on and find himself regular first team football away from Stamford Bridge.

Ajax are believed to be one of the suitors as they look for a replacement for Antony and still have fond memories of the Chelsea man, after he scored 49 goals and registered 81 assists in 165 games for the club.

Amrabat, though, believes they may have work on their hands to convince their former star to return to the club.

“It is better that he leaves Chelsea,” he told De Telegraaf, relayed by MSN.

“That he plays so little is really a deadly sin, because I really like to see him play football. I think he should go to Ajax to finish his career there.

“But whether he wants to… Ajax is a wonderful club, but then Hakim – with all due respect – will play against RKC and Sparta again.

“I can also imagine that he wants to have another look in Serie A, at AC Milan, for example.”
