Around a week ago, well-informed Paris Saint-Germain website Paris United claimed Mauricio Pochettino was the Ligue 1 leaders’ number one target if Unai Emery were to get fired/leave the club.

After all, it makes a lot of sense for many reasons, including the fact he plays attractive football and once played for the French side, which he still holds close to his heart.

Fast forward to today, and Le10 Sport corroborate this information with claims they have heard the same, but that Chelsea and Manchester United are also after the Argentinian.

With Antonio Conte said to be leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, Abramovich has allegedly targeted the Tottenham man to replace him, impressed by what he has achieved at White Hart Lane/Wembley over the years.

As for Manchester United, José Mourinho’s contract is due to run out in June 2019, and with other clubs bound to be interested in his services if a renewal isn’t signed by the end of the season, an Old Trafford exit needs to be prepared for, hence the interest in Pochettino.

And to make things even more frustrating for Tottenham fans starting to believe they could lose their star manager sooner rather than later, Le10 report the existence of a €15m release clause in the Argentinian’s contract.

Such a fee, while high for a manager, isn’t exactly going to stop big clubs, especially rich ones such as the trio after Pochettino.

This appears to be becoming a bit of a trend in France, so we’ll have to see how big it gets before actually starting to believe it, because, for now, no approaches have been made.
