Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is Maurizio Sarri’s first choice as he looks for a new midfielder this summer.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who say the Juventus boss is keen to reunite with the player he worked alongside at both Napoli and Chelsea.
They explain that Juventus will be on the hunt for a new central midfielder in the summer transfer window and have drawn up a list of potential signings.
Jorginho is Sarri’s ‘first choice‘, with the Juve boss believing he would be ‘ideal’ in his midfield, the player having been the key man for him at both Napoli and Chelsea already.
However, a deal for the Chelsea midfielder ‘is not easy’ although it could all hinge on the Italian’s wishes.
He has a ‘strong relationship‘ with Sarri, and thus Juventus believe their hopes of securing him rest on a more ‘consolidated base’ than with their other targets.
Juve’s list of alternatives is extensive, with Sandro Tonali the prime candidate and the likes of Arthur, Allan and Manuel Locatelli all being considered.
However, it is Jorginho who is at the top of the list as far as Sarri, who has ‘no doubt about it‘, according to the website.
