As long as you aren’t a Liverpool fan, the match last week between the Reds and Atalanta was brilliant entertainment.

The Bergamo team were widely considered the underdogs, even by the general Italian media and that most local to the club. They’d gone into the match after a couple of poor defeats and therefore confidence wasn’t at its highest.

However, a brilliant performance turned into a memorable victory, and several Atalanta players will have won new fans and transfer admirers. Chelsea were at the match, reports SportMediaSet, and there’s one name which stood out for the Blues.

According to the report, Chelsea are very keen on Teun Koopmeiners and have ‘made a move’ on the midfielder, who is also of interest to Juventus.

It’s even stated Mauricio Pochettino’s side is willing to put €60m on the table to try and seal a deal in the summer.

For Juventus, such a scenario would present frustration, with Premier League clubs like Chelsea now making it harder for them to have ultimate power in the Italian transfer market.
