Ousmane Dembele is the big story for Catalan newspaper Sport on Saturday.

The Frenchman takes the front page of today’s edition, and it’s all about Barcelona worry regarding the player’s future. With a contract expiring in June 2022, the La Liga side have made tentative approaches about a renewal.

Dembele’s entourage haven’t been interested, and that means a summer sale is already being considered. Chelsea are one of the clubs said to be interested, with the Blues described as being ‘on the lookout’ for the potential signing.

Frank Lampard’s side would be especially keen if Barca decide to sell for a ‘reasonable price’ in the summer, given the player’s contract situation.

Dembele has had some joy under Ronald Koeman this season, and there’s an assumption he’d like to continue that path and remain at the Camp Nou. However, Barca aren’t just going to sit back and watch him run his contract down, so they may try to take the matter out of his hands.

Chelsea have been linked previously and it’s likely they’ll continue to be among the group of clubs which will be repeatedly mentioned until Dembele signs a renewal.

If he doesn’t do so by the summer market then the situation will clearly become more serious.
