Chelsea are one of a number of club’s linked with Philipp Max by the current edition of SportBild.
The German magazine believes the Augsburg player is interesting a number of clubs in the Premier League, and Antonio Conte’s side are among them.
Max has made 10 assists from left back this season, in 21 Bundesliga games, but Chelsea links are curious given the club have just signed Emerson Palmieri from AS Roma.
Making a move for Max in the summer would surely depend on another left back leaving Chelsea, but he’s certainly an exciting target.
Rahman, also a left back, moved to Chelsea in August 2015 for a fee with the potential to rise to €25m. Antonio Conte wasn’t a fan, and the player was sent to Schalke on loan last summer.
That loan has now been extended and the 23 year old will be staying at Schalke until summer 2019.
