According to Sporx, Galatasaray are interested in signing Swansea City forward Wilfried Bony.

The Turkish newspaper claims Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim wants to sign a striker in this window to partner him with former Swan Bafetimbi Gomis, and the Turkish side could again look to raid Swansea City.

The Turkish club signed Gomis from Swansea City last summer and the French striker has quickly become a key player in Terim’s team, scoring 13 league goals so far this season.

Sporx say Galatasaray are looking to use their former player Didier Drogba to convince Bony, as the pair have been in contact since their time with Ivory Coast’s national team.

Bony is contracted to Swansea City until June 2019, after rejoining the Welsh club last summer from Manchester City.

Terim prefers to go with a 4-4-2 formation, and therefore he’s in the market a forward to play alongside Gomis. Everton’s Oumar Niasse has also been a target by the Turkish club in recent weeks, but it seems likely he’ll remain at Goodison Park to fight for his place.

Gomis and Bony don’t seem like the best suited pairing.
