Kylian Mbappé may have recently signed a new contract with Paris Saint Germain, but that still doesn’t mean that other European giants, including Chelsea, will stop being linked to him.
This week, French outlet L’Equipe reported that despite the three-year agreement announced by the Parisian side, the deal actually consists of two seasons plus an option for an extra season.
It was said it’s the player who’d have the final decision on whether to stay for that final year or not. In other words, he should be free to leave the club in the summer of 2024.
PSG and the player are both expected to have his situation sorted out by January 2024, so it even sounds possible the French side would rather sell him then instead of losing him for free the following summer.
Chelsea are claimed to be one of the ‘suitors’ for the signing that year, along with other Premier League sides.
