The rumours about Chelsea’s €120m bid for Milan midfielder Rafael Leão have been getting big coverage from the Italian media, with many outlets discussing whether the Rossoneri should accept the potential offer from the Blues or not.

Outlet Calcio In Piolle today features an interview with Gianluigi Longari, where the journalist spoke about the several subjects, and the pursuit from the Stamford Bridge side for the Portuguese star was the main of them.

The topic started with the outlet asking Longari’s opinion on the chase, and the possibility of Milan accepting Chelsea’s bid.

“The idea I got is that if Chelsea are really ready to spend 120 million for Leao, Milan should at least take it into consideration. I think that no Italian team above all can afford to ignore an offer of this magnitude.

“It must be said that the player’s release clause (of €150m) has just expired and finding a replacement that is up to it is almost impossible today, even with €120m to spend. Certainly the renewal issue is thorny and, as mentioned, the offer is at least to be considered regardless of how important Leao is in Milan,” Longari told Calcio in Piolle.

The Italian outlet then went a bit deeper and quizzed the journalist if he thinks there’s ‘something true’ in these rumours.

The concrete and real interest of Chelsea is there, then we agree that it is a difficult negotiation given the timing and how much is missing at the end of the market “.

Chelsea’s interest in Leão also got covered today by Calciomercato, with the outlet claiming the Blues ‘do not give up’ on signing the winger.

The outlet, however, claimed that Milan are not really keen on selling the player, and would only let him go in case Thomas Tuchel side show up and pay €150m for his signing.

That, however, sounds quite unlikely.
