Despite reports from Brazil saying Bernard would like to play for Chelsea, there are those who disagree with these claims.

On Wednesday, Premium Sport journalist Anderson Marques claims that the winger would rather play for AC Milan than for Chelsea.

He says that right now, each club has a 50% chance to sign him. It’s made pretty clear that Chelsea want to count on him, but something at Milan is attracting the 25-year-old.

The journalist also claims that he should have new updates in the next few days.

Earlier today, newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport claimed that Chelsea have called for the help of Kia Joorabchian. The agent, alongside his partner Giuliano Bertolucci, was responsible for taking several Brazilian players to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s intention would be to outbid Milan. Gazzetta said that Bernard’s demands to the Italian side were of a three year contract, €3m/year (around £50k/week) and €2m to be paid to his agents.

As the player is currently a free agent, that’s all the clubs would have to spend to sign him.
