Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel could soon make a move for one of his old targets, according to reports from the Italian media.

FC Inter News writes reports that Chelsea are one of the clubs  interested in signing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

And this chase has a lot to do with the German manager, who already had the player in his sights back in his time in charge of Paris Saint Germain.

The report claims that Skriniar could now be an option for the Blues to replace Thiago Silva, who’s turning 37 this year.

Now regarding how difficult it would be to take Skriniar from Inter Milan, FC Inter News brings two takes. They first claim that the move would cost at least €50m for any side wanting to ‘snatch’ the player.

However, it’s also pointed out that neither the player nor the Serie A club are pushing for the sale. Firstly, because the defender is happy in Italy, and then the Nerazzurri’s good financial situation makes them comfortable regarding outgoing transfers.

That latter part seems a little optimistic, given the problems Inter’s owners are currently facing, so Chelsea may want to test the theory.
