Wesley Fofana has not featured for Leicester City this season as a fibula fracture has kept him on the sidelines since August.

The defender is working to regain full fitness and the injury setback has not stopped him being linked to Newcastle United and Manchester United.

Chelsea have now become the latest club to have the 20-year-old on their transfer agenda.

French journalist Fabrice Hawkins told Actu Foot that as well as the Magpies, Thomas Tuchel’s side have also been talking with the Foxes star’s camp. That’s about the only information about the Blues provided by Hawkins, who hosted Fofana for a Twitter Space session on Wednesday.

The Champions League winners received a boost after the centre-back admitted Chelsea are in the list of his dream clubs.

“A club that makes me dream? There’s Marseille, Real Madrid, Barça. In the Premier League, there are Chelsea, United, City… But you have to work to make your dreams come true. Through work, you can achieve anything,” Fofana told Actu Foot.

Fofana is hopeful he can return to action next month and if he manages to regain last season’s form for Leicester, the likes of Chelsea and other clubs could come calling for him next summer.

It’s worth noting there’s been repeat claims coming from France about Fofana’s future, and it seems to be coming from his camp, a theory which is backed up by his direct transfer flirting this week.
