Earlier today, we covered a couple of stories from the Italian media which highlighted Chelsea interest in Inter Milan fullback Denzel Dumfries. And the Dutchman isn’t the only Nerazzurri defender who the Blues seem interested in, because Calcio Mercato are now speaking of a chase for Milan Skriniar.
The outlet reports that market intermediary Paolo Busardo has been helping the Serie A side to make the profit they want this summer, and is working to find potential buyers for the centre-back.
According to Calcio Mercato, Busardo had a meeting with Chelsea in London yesterday. With the Blues missing out on Jules Kounde, it’s said they can start talking about Skriniar again.
The story claims there’s an ‘economic distance’ between the clubs which continues to be a problem. It’s said Inter Milan value the player at €70m, and the Stamford Bridge side believe he’s ‘not worth’ that amount.
The Nerazzurri intend to make between €50m and €60m before the end of the transfer window. So Busardo continues to mediate talks, and a Chelsea offer of around €60m could end up changing the situation.
