After going two windows without making a new addition to their squad, Chelsea have kicked-started their business for next season after agreeing a deal with Ajax for Hakim Ziyech.
France Football now explains the Morocco international will not be the major recruit for Frank Lampard’s side for the 2020/21 campaign.
That’s because the Blues have set their sights on Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho. It’s claimed the Europa League winners have ‘gone all out’ for the 19-year-old, who has impressed since joining the Bundesliga side from Manchester City in 2017.
According to the report, Chelsea have already started the ‘seduction business’ with the England international, under the leadership of Marina Granovskaia.
Sancho has managed 16 goals and 17 assists in all competitions this term and his performances have caught attention of top European clubs. Apart from Chelsea, Manchester United are also interested in the player.
France Football states Dortmund are resigned to losing the England international in the summer.
The German club are of the belief that Sancho’s exit will be the club’s record sale, beating €105m (plus bonuses) paid by Barcelona for Ousmane Dembélé in 2017.
France Football claim this as their own information, but given both players operate on the right it may be something of a stretch.
