After Crystal Palace signed Christian Benteke from Liverpool, Besiktas now want another Premier League forward following the departure of Mario Gomez.
According to ASpor and Fanatik, Besiktas president Fikret Orman wants to sign Loic Remy and will use his close relationship with Chelsea to resolve the situation quickly.
Remy is not in new boss Antonio Conte’s plans which was quite evident when the Frenchman recently played for the Chelsea U21 side. Conte signed Michy Batshuayi this summer as back-up to Diego Costa, and subsequently Remy’s days at Stamford Bridge look numbered.
Remy has been linked to Turkish clubs since his Marsielle days, but this time it makes more sense. The chance to play in the Champions League will be a factor for Remy, who is now waiting on a swift resolution just like Chelsea.
Besiktas will offer €3M to loan Remy and the player will earn around €3.5M in a year if the move will materialise.
The Black Eagles also targeting Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony and former Norwich striker Dieumerci Mbokani.
