Michy Batshuayi to Valencia remains a very prominent story in Spain, with the La Liga transfer window still going strong, and Marcelino is still extremely keen on bringing the Belgian to the Mestalla.

Wanting to bolster his attack with two new strikers, the manager has targeted the Chelsea man and Atlético Madrid’s Kevin Gameiro, and both deals are close.

This is what Cadena COPE are reporting on Friday, stating the reason why Batshuayi is so interested in a move to Valencia is their Champions League project.

Said plan was described to him over the phone by Marcelino in a chat they reportedly had last week, who managed to convince the Chelsea forward this was his best option.

He did the same with Kevin Gameiro, and here we are on Friday, August 10th, with both players pushing for a transfer (or a loan in Batshuayi’s case) to Valencia.

All that’s missing now, according to the radio station, is the agreement between clubs.
