Chelsea are keeping an eye on forward Jeremie Boga with a view to bringing their former player back to the club next season.
Boga has been in decent form for Sassuolo, who he joined for £2m from Chelsea in 2018, bagging five goals and three assists in 21 games in all competitions this season.
His performances have earned him a line of suitors, according to Foot Mercato, and among them are his former club.
The website reports Barcelona and Monaco are both interested in the forward, with the former considering him as ‘very appealing’.
Monaco were looking to sign him this month, but that proved too complicated with such little time left of the window, and they have instead decided to move next summer.
They will face plenty of competition if they do, with PSV Eindhoven, Atalanta and Chelsea also following his performances ‘with interest’.
Indeed, Chelsea made sure to include a ‘priority repurchase option’ of €15m when they decided to let Boga leave 18 months ago, which would put them at the front of the queue should they choose to try and bring him back to Stamford Bridge.
