Chelsea are ready to allow left-back Emerson Palmieri to leave this summer, with Juventus at the front of the queue for his signature.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who report that the two sides are already in negotiations about the Italian defender.

The newspaper explains that Juventus have been keen on Emerson since his days at Roma and have continued to follow him during his time at Stamford Bridge.

He’s found himself out of favour since Frank Lampard’s arrival at the club and, as a result, they are already thinking about saying goodbye to him.

Juventus remain keen, particularly as Maurizio Sarri is a fan, and there have already been contacts between Juventus’ chiefs and Chelsea supremo Marina Granovskaia about a deal.

Relations between the two clubs are good after Gonzalo Higuain moved to Chelsea in January last year, and were solidified in negotiations for Sarri last summer.

It is therefore believed that they can comfortably negotiate a deal for Emerson.

He is keen to leave London in search of regular playing time ahead of the European Championships next summer and would like the move to Juventus as he has a good relationship with Sarri.

Chelsea are ‘willing to satisfy’ his desires but need to work out a ‘creative formula’ to get a deal over the line, and that could end up being a loan deal with a purchase option for 2021.

Tuttosport say that ‘trail is concrete’, meaning it is a serious option.

However, Juventus will have to wait for Mattia De Sciglio to move to Barcelona, as part of a deal involving Arthur and Miralem Pjanic, before pushing ahead.

Nonetheless, it seems there is a willingness from all parties to get a deal done, and it’s even theorised that the talks could extend to a possible deal for Jorginho, who Sarri is also keen to reunite with.
