Charly Musonda’s time back at Chelsea has caused some confusion in Spain. That’s not because they’ve been surprised he’s gone back to his parent club, Chelsea’s medical facilities are probably excellent, but because there’s been reports previously that he returned to Real Betis, only for it then to turn out he was still in London.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo report in their Wednesday edition that Musonda has now returned, and this time they’re certain… because he trained with Betis on Tuesday.
The Chelsea owned youngster has been receiving treatment on a knee injury, the specifics of which haven’t really been covered in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo describe it as ‘discomfort’ in the knee, and it’s no surprise Antonio Conte’s club wanted to pull him back and see what was going on.
After a month out of the game, Musonda may well be able to return for Real Betis in their next match, at home to Las Palmas on Friday evening.
