Chelsea’s Charly Musonda was sent on loan to Real Betis for the second time during the summer transfer window.
The Belgian winger spent the second half of the last season on loan at the La Liga club, where he managed to get regular playing time and was more than happy to extend his loan spell.
However, the 20-year-old’s has been cut this season, and Musonda has managed just two starts so far.
To make things more difficult, Musonda suffered an injury to his left knee, and has already missed the Betis matches against Osasuna and Espanyol.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Musonda traveled to London last week to undergo treatment to his knee from Chelsea’s doctors and medical team.
The Belgian is still believed to be in London, and there is still no timeline of his return to Spain.
Musonda has managed just over 200 minutes of football this season, and has one assist to his name. Chelsea’s medical staff will be hoping to get Musonda fit as possible and send the youngster back to Seville to continue his development away from Stamford Bridge.
