It’s been a couple of years since Chelsea started being linked to the Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro, but they’ve never seemed to get very close to signing him.

Juventus paid €26m to take the player from Porto in 2015, and considering his development since moving to Italy, there was no way the Old Lady would let him go for a similar price.

That’s why the Blues have been finding it difficult to get their man, and now the delay to splash all this cash seems to be bothering some people at the club.

As reported by Calcio Mercato today, there’s currently a division at Chelsea which separates the people who want Alex Sandro at the club or not.

Antonio Conte and his men are said to demand the signing at any cost, while the other half are not any confident that he’s worth more than €65m.

There are many reasons why the manager has been upset with the Chelsea board, and this would be just one more on the list.

But is he right in this case? Is Alex Sandro a man to sign or just another overpriced player in the current market? It certainly still sounds too much for a fullback, but we can only imagine how far these prices will go in the next summer window.
