Fresh off agreeing to sell Laurent Koscielny to Bordeaux after the player refused to travel on preseason because he wanted to return to France, Arsenal need a new centre-back.

Offers for Daniele Rugani have been reported in Italy, while German claims suggest the Gunners have bid for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

Well, L’Equipe in France now believe Unai Emery is targeting someone closer to home, as the newspaper claim they want Chelsea’s David Luiz.

It’s believed the North London club have ‘made the Brazilian an offer’, and the former Paris Saint-Germain player has ‘decided to join Arsenal’.

They say Luiz is ‘pushing for an exit’, but Chelsea are ‘not inclined to lose their centre-back’, which has led to ‘tensions rising between the two parties’.

In fact, the Brazil international ‘didn’t train’ with the Blues, and he is ‘determined’ to see this through.

Can someone please shut the transfer window already?
