Earlier today, we covered the morning claims from the Italian newspapers regarding the transfer of Fikayo Tomori to Milan.
The Chelsea defender was said to be close to a loan move to the Serie A club, but there were still a few things to sort out.
The price of the option available to Milan to make the deal permanent was still an issue, and the amounts being reported varied from €22-23m to just under €30m.
Gianluca Di Marzio, who works for Sky Italia, has the latest on the situation on Thursday afternoon, claiming the player’s move is ‘practically done’, with ‘an exchange of documents to file the final details’ currently being undergone between the Blues and the Italians.
Milan are said to ‘hope and will try to make him arrive this evening in the city for the medicals in order for him to have his first training with the team on Friday’.
These appear to be the final steps, and it could simply be a matter of hours, quite literally, before the Chelsea man ends up in a black and red shirt.
