Belenenses’ efforts to have Nathan from Chelsea on loan for another season could finally have a happy ending soon.
As reported by newspaper A Bola today, a deal between the clubs could be announced in the next few days or even in the next few hours.
It’s claimed that Belenenses have been working on a deal for over two months, and are currently doing a ‘last forcing’ to convince the Blues.
Nathan played for Belenenses between January and May, and left a pretty good impression at the club. In his 13 appearances, he scored two pretty important goals, coming against Benfica and Porto.
Signed by the Blues from Brazilian side Atlético-PR in 2015, Nathan is still to have a chance to make his debut for Chelsea. Since his arrival in London, he’s been on loans to Amiens, Vitesse and Belenenses.
Speaking to the Brazilian media earlier this year, he had already shown his desire to spend more time at Belenenses, so he probably knew he wouldn’t have any game time at Stamford Bridge next season.
