Chelsea were named as a contender to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer window.
The Blues didn’t end up signing him and Napoli let the striker join Galatasaray on a loan deal.
TuttoMercatoweb journalist Niccolò Ceccarini now claims Chelsea haven’t forgotten about the 25-year-old.
He says the west London club are still interested and ‘could try again’ to sign the Nigeria international. As well as Osimhen, Chelsea have Red Bull Salzburg’s Benjamin Šeško and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface on their radar.
Ceccarini adds the Premier League side are also keen to sign US Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu. He mentions Chelsea when discussing Napoli’s interest in the 19-year-old, who can operate as a fullback and a winger.
The journalist claims Antonio Conte’s side tried to convince Lecce to sell Dorgu in the summer window but failed. They are still keeping tabs on the versatile player and would face competition from Chelsea and others to secure his services.
Dorgu’s deal lasts until 2027. Ceccarini claims Lecce could sell the Denmark international if they were to receive an important offer at the end of this season.
Earlier this month, we covered claims from Italy which stated Lecce value Dorgu at €30m. It was also indicated the asking price is affordable for Enzo Maresca’s side.
